My stay at the hostel was a pleasant experience. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and beautiful beaches. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a cozy atmosphere. The friendly staff offered helpful suggestions for sightseeing and even stored my luggage during my tour. The shared kitchen and common area were well-equipped, allowing for a homely feel.
The communication with the owner was a bit strange at times, which dampened the overall experience.

The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful, offering tips and organizing tours and yacht working holidays. Clean bathrooms with plenty of hooks, rails, and a shelf. Well-equipped kitchen. Two verandah covered areas and a cozy lounge. Comfortable breezes keep the heat down. No need for air conditioning.
Felt very relaxed, no reason to complain.

The rooms at Mango Tourist Hostel are super cozy and comfortable, making you feel right at home. I absolutely loved the balcony, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning sun.
Shared bathrooms may not be everyone's cup of tea, but some might still find it enjoyable.

The hostel had a lovely character and the staff were helpful and friendly. the location was great, just a short walk to the main street. the WiFi was reliable and the owner was kind enough to order a taxi for my early morning bus.
The check-in process was not well organized, as there was no one present at the entrance and the bell didn't work. the rooms had no locks, which made me feel uncomfortable and led to other guests walking into my room mistakenly.

The Shared Lounge: This hostel has a shared lounge that is more alive than a busy beehive. It's a hub of activity, where travelers from all corners of the world come together, sharing stories and creating lifelong memories. It's like being part of a global family, where laughter and conversation fill the air.
Thin Walls: Minor inconvenience.

the owner went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and helped us with local recommendations. the cozy atmosphere and limited number of rooms made it feel like a special getaway. we wish we had discovered this gem earlier in our trip to Hervey Bay.
Limited privacy in the rooms.

I recently stayed at a charming hostel in Hervey Bay and had a fantastic experience. The hostel had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, making it feel more like a shared house. The owner was friendly and provided me with valuable information about off-the-beaten-track attractions in the area. The kitchen was well-equipped and the showers were nice and warm. Although the hostel was not a party hostel, I felt safe throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hostel for travelers looking for a comfortable and homely experience in Hervey Bay.
